ABOUT LEASH AND TRAIL LLC
Hi, I’m Reggie Barton
Lifelong dog lover, avid hiker, Will Atherton accredited trainer, and the heart behind Leash & Trail. I believe every dog deserves more than a quick stroll around the block.
They thrive when their bodies, minds, and senses are fully engaged — and there’s no better place for that than the great outdoors.
At Leash & Trail, a walk is never just a walk. It’s an adventure. It’s sniffing through the woods, trotting down a dirt trail, and feeling the wind in their fur. My mission is to give your dog the freedom to explore, exercise, and experience nature in a way that fulfills their instincts and brings them joy.

Lifelong Learner
My background blends a lifelong love of dogs with years of outdoor leadership. I’ve served as a Scout Master, guided hiking groups, raised and trained family dogs, and volunteered with the Gwinnett Humane Society and PAWS Atlanta. I’ve studied with PetSmart Dog Trainers, earned accreditation through the Will Atherton Canine Center, most recently I've been trained and certified in Canine First Aid and CPR — because your dog’s safety and wellbeing always come first.
I also believe the best dog professionals are lifelong learners. To deepen my knowledge and continually refine my approach, I study the work of leading trainers, behaviorists, and canine experts.
