Meet & Greet

It all starts here!

All services start here. When you book a Meet and Greet, you’ll receive a form to fill out that tells me all about you and your dog. Then we’ll meet at your residence, where I’ll assess your dog. The assessment includes chatting with you about your dog, watching you walk them, and then walking and greeting the dog myself.

After the assessment, your dog will either be cleared for one-on-one walks or further training, depending on your goals.
Following a successful structured (loose-leash) one-on-one walk, your dog may progress to pack walks—first with two dogs, then up to three—either in your neighborhood or on our adventure walks.

Adventure Walks

Prerequisites:

Meet and Greet; reliable loose-leash walking, sit/stay, recall, and “leave it.”

Adventure Walks are mentally and physically stimulating hikes in natural areas on dirt paths, featuring a variety of terrains and inclines. We balance structured loose-leash walking with relaxed sniffing and exploring. Water and rest breaks are included throughout the adventure.

While our walks are never off-leash, your dog will be fitted with a GPS tracking collar so you can receive proof of the adventure, including a map of the route and video highlights of your dog’s hike.

Muddy paws and legs will be cleaned before your dog returns home. Paw balm for pre- and post-hike care is available upon request.

Adventure Walks are available in 1 and half hour (3-4 miles) and half day /  4-hour sessions (5 plus miles and structured outdoor play), either one-on-one or in a pack of 2–3 dogs.

Neighborhood Walks

Prerequisites:

Meet and Greet; reliable skills in recall and “leave it.”

Neighborhood walks are available in 30-minute increments, from 30 up to 90 minutes. Walks may be one-on-one or in a pack of up to three dogs. Dogs must first complete a successful one-on-one structured (loose-leash) walk before progressing to pack walks.

If your dog isn’t quite ready for loose-leash walking—no worries! I can absolutely help train your dog to walk nicely on a leash. This training can be done through a series of one-on-one neighborhood walks.

Transportation, if needed, will be provided by Leash and Trail LLC in our comfortable, premium Dog Taxi.

Obedience - Training

I offer training in basic obedience, household manners, and trail manners. I am a Will Atherton Accredited Trainer. We can focus on a single skill or build a custom training program based on your dog’s needs. I’m happy to collaborate during your Meet and Greet to design a program that fits.

I am not a certified behaviorist (yet—I’m currently in training), so I do not offer support for behavioral issues at this time.

All training sessions are one-on-one, held at your residence or a public park. I do not currently offer board-and-train programs or group classes.
